Student Loan Paydown Program
The Hartford will make a direct contribution of $125 per month – with a lifetime maximum up to $10,000 – as a supplemental payment towards your student loan to help you manage the stress of student debt and help you pay down your student loan faster. This benefit is available to employees (working 20 hours or more per week) in Tiers 7-12 with at least 6 months of service who are actively contributing to their loan repayment for qualified student loans. Review the Student Loan Paydown Program Policy and the FAQs to learn more.

To sign up for the program:

  • Create an account at https://www.gradifi.com/access/TheHartford
  • After you receive an email to verify your account and log in, click “Manage Loans” on the Gradifi Member Dashboard to add your student loan(s) to your account (i.e. your student loan account number(s) and the address where payments need to be sent).
  • Within 3 business days, you will receive an email notifying you that your loan is under review to determine eligibility for the program.
  • When a determination is made, you will receive a second email notifying you that your loan is qualified or not qualified with the reason why.

If you have any questions or need assistance, you can call 1-844-GRADIFI.

Student Loan Assistance Program
The Hartford partners with Gradifi*, a student loan assistance vendor, to offer you and your dependents access to education and resources on student loans, as well as refinancing lenders to potentially secure lower rates. If you refinance with a Gradifi partner, Gradifi will provide you with $300. This benefit – including the reward – is available to all employees and your friends and family members.

Tuition Reimbursement Program
Receive reimbursement up to $5,250 (undergraduate) and $6,000 (graduate) for tuition and registration fees for degree programs that support your career development (subject to additional requirements).

*Applicable to U.S. residents with U.S.-issued loans. Employees with U.S.-issued loans residing internationally would not be eligible for this service. May not be available in all states.
